Why Do I Quilt?
For me, quilting is about so many things that really bring me sheer joy! Quilting is creative. It’s freeing. It’s making something completely yourself. It’s making people’s days a bit warmer and their smiles a lot bigger. It’s creating family heirlooms that make you wonder how many generations may enjoy and pass it down. It’s bringing home a new baby in a quilt. It’s donating so a child may have a warm blanket while in foster care. It’s a newlywed’s first bed quilt. It’s making memories. It’s accomplishments. It’s new friendships — it’s love. We quilters have an innate ability to give. We love to share our gifts and talents with others, and that is one of the most beautiful things in this world to me. God gave us all wonderful, inspiring talents, and I thank Him each and every day that I get to do this quilting thing!!
