Class: Math for Quilters

  • North Little Rock Community Center 2700 Willow Street North Little Rock, AR, 72114 United States (map)

Are you stumped by seam allowance addition? Do you struggle with setting triangles? Do angles make you anxious? Do you want to waste less of your wonderful fabric?

Come to Meg Cullum’s class on Math for Quilters. Learn how to take a size of block you want and get pieces that are the right size to build it, how to change a layout from straight set to on point, and how to size up or down to change a quilt size.

Supplies:

  • A calculator - a phone calculator is fine

  • Notebook and pen

  • 2 fat quarters

  • 12 x 12 (or 12.5 x 12.5) inch square ruler

  • 6 x 6 (or 6.5 x 6.5) inch square ruler

  • Rotary cutter and mat

  • A quilt pattern that you would like to make (we will not be making the quilt, just using it for measurements)
