July Meeting Information:

Guild Yard Sale!

This yard sale serves as a fundraiser for the guild.  Start gathering your unused and unwanted quilting/sewing items.  Please pre-price all items that you are bringing, affixing them with a tag or sticker, or placing them in a bag with a label or writing on the outside.  Items priced at $25.00 or more can be placed for consignment.  Hopefully we can have tables full of quilting goodies for you to take home!

We Need Your Help!

The guild is in need of some positions to be filled.  If you or anyone you know is willing to serve in these positions, please contact the guild at the phone number or email listed above.

  •  A photographer during meetings to take pictures of all the beautiful quilts during show and tell and to document meetings for the future members of the guild.

  • An individual to do public relations and advertising for the guild.  This would include taking flyers to local quilt shops for workshops the guild is sponsoring, and procuring ads from various quilt shops and vendors for the guild for the newsletter.

  • An individual qualified to perform a financial audit for the guild.  This individual does not have to be a member of the guild.

  • Several individuals to form a committee to revise the bylaws.

  • Several individuals to serve on the program committee.  We cannot stress enough that it is important to have programs for our guild.  If every member of the guild could submit one idea, we could have programs for EIGHT YEARS! Please consider giving a program idea or joining a group of people so that we can add programs for our guild to enjoy for the next year.

November Workshop: Judy Neimeyer Paper Piecing Technique with Judy Bowers

Come join us as we learn techniques to create foundation paper pieced masterpieces with Judy Neimeyer certified instructor Judy Bowers.  We will be working on the Poinsettia pattern.  Sign up at the program table at guild meeting.  More information will be provided later.

Terry Library Quilt Show

The guild will again be holding their quilt show at the Terry Library from October 9th to December 10th, 2018.  All quilts entered into our library show must not have previously hung at the Terry Library.  A form to enter the show is available from Mary Jane Beard or Judy Young.  There will again be a mini-quilt display as well.  The guild is also looking for a non-judged special display to go in the library.
